President Donald Trump was informed in advance that WikiLeaks planned to release the information about the e-mails, which could harm Hillary Clinton’s campaign to become president.

It says his former lawyer Michael Cohen, in his testimony during an open hearing in the House of Representatives on Wednesday.

In the testimony, as Cohen has prepared in advance, he says, that he was present when Trump received a call of leaked.

Cohen cooperate with specialanklager Robert Mueller in connection with an examination of Russia’s role in the american presidential election in 2016. Previously he has however, lied to both Mueller and the Congress.

In his testimony tells Cohen that he was present at the office in July 2016, when the adviser Roger Stone told Trump about WikiLeaks over the phone.

the Call was reportedly put on the speaker, and the Stone must have told that he had been in contact with WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange.

Here he had allegedly received information about WikiLeaks’ plans for a large leak of e-mails that could affect Clinton’s election campaign. It is information, as Trump said earlier that he did not know.

According to Cohen responded the current president to answer ‘wouldn’t it be great’.

Shortly after published the WikiLeaks thousands of hacked e-mails from The Democratic Party’s National Committee (DNC).

While Cohen speaks on Wednesday, it is not immediately clear what evidence he has to support his claim.

‘Mr cohen’s statements are false’, has Roger Stone written for Reuters without specifying which elements of the testimony he meant.

u.s. intelligence believes that Russia tried to influence the outcome of the presidential election. It has previously been concluded that the Russian intelligence services have made use of WikiLeaks.

During the hearing, says Cohen, that he has no concrete evidence that Trump or his campaign collaborated with Russia.

– I have not. It should be quite clear. But I have my suspicions, he says.

Last year, Cohen was sentenced to three years in prison. This is due, among other things, that he is convicted of tax fraud and of lying to Congress under oath.

the Presidential office in The White House has repeatedly stressed that Cohen is lying in an attempt to get a reduction in his prison sentence.
