The Diputacion de Granada, and the City Council of Churriana de la Vega announced that they are inviting people to sign up for a catering class for the unemployed. This course is part the Granada Youth Employment Program of the Diputacion. It will offer 47 courses to more than 700 youth in the current call. Any municipality in the province can offer young people a professional qualification, as well as participation in professional practices and orientation in order to gain insertion in companies and/or self-employment.

The last day to register is March 26, which you can do on the Diputacion de Granada website. The course will start on April 5th in Churriana de la Vega and last for 395 hours. However, the exact time has yet to be announced. If they are job seekers registered in the public service, unemployed citizens can register for free training.

The following groups are marked: Long-term unemployed, youth aged 16 to 29 who are not eligible for the Youth Employment Operational Program, over 55 year olds, people with disabilities, immigrant, ethnic minorities, victims or survivors of gender violence, asylum seekers, addicts, people receiving minimum income, social wages, people who have dropped out of school, and people who are discriminated against based on racial, sexual orientation, gender identity.

This and other Granada Empleo Joven courses offer specific training according to Professional Certificates, cross- and complementary training in English Information and Communication Technologies, equal opportunities, professional guidance, and activities to promote insertion.

The European Social Fund of the Union co-finances the course. It offers the opportunity for a scholarship as well as professional practices in businesses.
