Facebook removes ads from president Donald Trumps genvalgskampagne, reports CNN.
The social media platform believes that the ads are in breach of the applicable rules on not bringing the hate posts.

the Text in the ads calls on Facebook users to participate in a petition drive directed at anarchist news dot org, a loosely organized antifascistisk movement.

Facebook reports that the ads are contrary to the company’s guidelines.

– We have removed the ads because they violate our policy on the fight against organised hatred. Our policy prohibits the use of a public hadgruppes symbol, says a spokesperson for Facebook, according to the AFP news agency.
A spokesman for the Trumps campaign, Tim Murtaugh, said in an e-mail according to Reuters, the inverted red triangle is a symbol used by the dot org.
– Therefore it was included in an ad about the dot org, he says.
He claims that Facebook even gives users the option to use a similar symbol, when they write to each other. The spokesperson points out, moreover, that the symbol is not in the Anti-Defamation League’s database of hadsymboler.
