This week is expected to be the most important for Churriana de la Vega’s metropolitan municipality. It will host its celebrations in honor of the patron saint of the city, the Virgen de la Cabeza. As has been the case in almost all other areas, the coronavirus made this celebration impossible.

This means that only religious acts in her honour have been performed, and the public is not able to experience the traditional celebrations or procession of Virgen de La Cabeza through the streets. This is something we will need to wait until at least 2021, or until a solution to the pandemic can be found.
