Grand Theft Auto 6 Publisher Teases PC Version: ‘Rockstar to Announce More Later’

In a recent interview at the TD Cowen conference, Take-Two Interactive’s CEO, Strauss Zelnick, was asked about the absence of a PC version announcement for Grand Theft Auto 6. Zelnick responded by stating that developer Rockstar Games will be making “more announcements” at a later date.

Zelnick explained, “The lack of an announcement doesn’t necessarily mean it’s definitive, because the only thing that comes after a lack of an announcement is an announcement, or still no announcement. It seems to me that neither option is set in stone.” He went on to say, “Rockstar approaches platforms in their own way and will make more announcements at a later date. I think the right strategy is to go where the consumer is. Looking back, we ultimately try to reach consumers everywhere, on every platform that makes sense.”

This response does not confirm that Grand Theft Auto 6 will be released simultaneously with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of the game. Historically, the company has often released GTA games on consoles first, followed by a PC version at a later date. However, the increasing popularity of the PC as a gaming platform is not lost on Take-Two and Rockstar.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is set to be released in the fall of 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S. As for a PC version, only time will tell.
