The sun is shining again on the island of Corsica. Monday, June 1 article 10 of the decree creating the rules that will continue to exist until June 22 next, prohibited “unless they are based on a compelling personal or family reason for health within the emergency or a business reason cannot be delayed, the movement of people by public transport air at the start of the continental territory of France to the destination of one of the communities mentioned in article 72-3 of the Constitution or of the community of Corsica”. A decision marked with the seal of the incomprehension of the elected representatives and the professionals of tourism who had been asked collectively a suppression urgent of this exception, an island judged to be inconsistent.

This is now done. On Tuesday evening, the Prime minister Edouard Philippe had already ensured that the part about the Corsica was going to be “corrected in the right direction”. The revised article, published on Wednesday 3 June in the official Journal, simply deletes the words “of the community of Corsica”. The French will thus be able to take the plane down to the island before the 23rd of June, even without compelling reason.
