North korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un, and the us president, Donald Trump, has Wednesday pressed hand on a hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The two leaders launching their second summit, among other things, to act on the disarmament of North korea’s nuclear weapons.

At a short presseoptræden ahead of the actual meeting sitting Trump and Kim Jong-un next to each other in front of the press, and Trump says that he expects a successful summit.

He says that he’s not pulling in the country in relation to the atomnedrustningen’. And when asked whether he will formally declare an end to the Korean war, he replies:

– We’ll see.

The north Korean leader says that they have got to grips with the obstacles in order to keep the summit in Vietnam, and they have had need of patience since their first meeting in Singapore last year.

He hopes, like Trump, to the meeting in Hanoi will be a success.

Thursday, the two meet again for an official meeting on the disarmament of North korea’s nuclear programme.

Trump and Kim Jong-un met for the first time in June 2017 in Singapore. The talks culminated in the airy promises to work towards making The Korean Peninsula free of nuclear weapons.

the Meeting in 2017 was the first between a sitting american president and a leader from north Korea. It was both labeled as a success. But a concrete roadmap for north Korean disarmament, it was not.

Trump has yet before the summit written that he sees a ‘great opportunity’.
