Pilou Asbæk must have poured more spinach inboard than the Skipper Terror, when he Friday hopped aboard his new boat and called out with his father, Jacob Asbæk, and one of his good friends for the first time.
When the popular actor took over the management of the small motor boat, snapped the engine of the boat and fell with a splash into the water.
On Instagram writing Pilou Asbæk about the absurd experience in his new boat.
‘Okay. I must tell you a story. Last year we bought a house in the country. Wanted to get away from the city. I had an idea that I was one with nature. Just live as a free spirit. Plus quality time with the family. Another thing I wanted was a small boat so we could fish and relax. I can remember that I did it with my father when I was a kid and LOVED it. So my daughter had to have the same happy memories’, writes the 38-year-old actor.

But life as a boat owner started with something different, than Pilou Asbæk had dreamed of. On the first trip sailed his buddy boat the first 25 minutes.
‘So would I try it … after 1 minuet and 47 seconds, I did something strange. ..and the entire rear end of the boat fell off. Útlagi has blup said it! And away was the engine’, writes Pilou Asbæk.
Ironically, he writes, that he feared that his time had come.
‘I thought I would die … in fact I did not … I just started to laugh and felt like the biggest idiot in the world. Thankfully, our good friend TIM’s rescue and got us home safely’.
