The National Geographic Institute (IGN), registered an earthquake measuring magnitude 2.9 on Richter scale. Its epicenter was in Alcala la Real, Jaen, early Wednesday April 7.

Europa Press, according to their IGN website, recorded the earthquake at 06:53. The epicenter was 25 km deep in Alcala la Real. It reached a magnitude 2.9.

The IGN also located three earthquakes that were recorded in the hours before this Tuesday’s closing hours in Malaga. They had an epicenter at Totalan and magnitude 1.7 respectively, while Granada had an epicenter at Santa Fe and Atarfe of magnitude 2.2, 1, 5 and respectively.
