“She is the new chief of police in the ”Beck”movies”
“Gunvald Larsson was shot dead for eight movies ago. Martin Beck himself has become rotelchef, longer from the practical police work.”
“There’s a new sheriff in town in the TV 4:s Beck movies: Alexandra ”Alex” Beijer, played by Jennie Silfverhjelm, 38.”
” When I grew up, I was as riveted in front of the tv when Helen Mirren played Jane Tennison in ”the killer’s trail”. As the woman now take place in a similar way, it is really fun, ” she says.”
“Years 1997-2018 there have been 38 Martin Beck-films with Peter Haber in the title role. “
“Until 2016, took Mikael Persbrandt increasing role, as more temperamental colleague Gunvald Larsson, but when the actor addiction problems escalated, he got fired. So he was shot eight movies ago. “
“Martin Beck got a new radarpartner, Steinar Hovland, a Norwegian who was described as the police’s response to Petter Northug. This was the time when he was the best in the world to go skiing. And Kristofer Hivju – better known from tv-series ”Game of thrones”, Ruben Östlund’s ”Tourist” and for his big red beard has tackled the role with energy and humor and quickly became a favorite of the audience.”
“Jennie Silfverhjelm admit that she had not totalkoll when it was time for her to step into the Becks of the universe.”
” I’ve seen Beck and Wallander movies, but not all, I had missed that Gunvald Larsson had died.”
“– When I provfilmade I had just come home from Croatia and the recording of ”All inclusive” and was pretty tired. So I went there and shot as well as a bit from the hip, I was almost surprised that I got the role.”
“A lot has already seen the ”Beck: Devil’s advocate” on streamingtjänsten C More. On Sunday 16 december, it is the first time the film is shown for the really wide audience in TV 4. It is in this film the number 38 as Alex Beijer, with a karriärförflutet on Interpol in Jordan, fully accepted as the new manager of Kristofer Hivjus rival for the job.”
“there Will be more Pitch movies? To Jennie Silverhjelm continue as chief of police?”
” I don’t know more than you if there will be more movies. But I am happy to continue. Now it feels like I just started to design her, a man who renounced all to private life. She is not married, has no children, but is a fullblodsarbetsnarkoman, ” says Jennie.”
“I practiced at the shooting range. It went well,”
“Josefine Tengbladh, dramachef on the C More and TV 4:”
” We are so pleased that the audience continues to love Beck, whose last four movies have crossed streamingrekord on the C More and taken for itself just fine on the TV 4. Jennie Silfverhjelms foray in films also gave an injection of energy and made this universe all the more exciting! We love Beck as much as any other, and looking so clear on how the story could be taken further, but it is too early to say anything definitely yet. There is a lot to fall into place.”
“How did you prepare yourself for the role?”
“– I interviewed two acquaintances I have who work in spaningsroteln, but it was pretty lönlös research, they may not tell you as much. I practiced at the shooting range. It went well. A vapenexpert taught me to do the mantelrörelsen in the right way. The sound from it is important as well. And so, I applied a little self-defense.”
“In recent years, it is mainly for the hit film ”All inclusive”, which the audience recognize Jennie. She was Guldbaggenominerad for the role of one of two sisters (the other played by Liv Mjönes) that goes on a long vacation to Croatia with his mother (Suzanne Reuter).”
“– Several women come forward and talk about the Malin, which is my character name. She has probably sat a little imprint. She has it quite hard during this trip and is pretty skitjobbig yourself, also, think many can identify with her.”
” Life and I went to drama school and have known each other for ten years. Suzanne, I had never worked with, but she has early on in my career has been a great role model.nJennie was born on the island of Lidingö, north of Stockholm, but mostly grew up in Bromma, to the west of the town, together with their mother. The exception was the high school, the years she lived with her father in the Österlen region of Skåne. The parents had divorced and remarried when Jennie was little.”
“Silfverhjelm is noble, yet empty, or how?”
” Yes… do you want to check out our declarations and see if we are rich? (laughter). Both of my parents are entrepreneurs and self made. Mother worked in the travel industry, then with the advertising. Father stack away and sailed in the Whitbread around the world race when I was little. Round-the-sail-racing, which is now called the Volvo Ocean Race. He was rekordung skipper, 26 years of age.”
“the Interest in acting had started to sprout and grew during high school at Södra Latin teaterlinje in Stockholm, where Jennie moved back after high school.”
“– Then I moved to Italy. Would plug in the three months, but fell in love with and stayed for a year. It was a little plug, and more jobs on the different bars as a bartender. Dad had a great havskappssegelbåt, arranged sponsorseglingar and sometimes I worked on board there as a cook.”
“I was in the #tystnadtagning, absolute”
“– Then I had various jobs when I came home to Sweden, among other things, that aktiemäklarassistent and on hospice. On the third attempt, I came in at drama school, when I was 22 years old.”
“Now belongs to Jennie long since the royal Dramatic theatre’s permanent ensemble, but has been on leave for filming. For example, when #metoo shook Sweden last autumn.”
” I was in the #tystnadtagning, absolutely. I myself have no experience of incidents, but have witnessed things, I have known that sometimes it has slid to the hold it should not drift to the. Now everyone has been forced to examine themselves and consider how they should behave.”
“Jennie has a liberating straight and a bit crass attitude to the job. As an actor, you have to ”burn” for their roles for it to be good. But sometimes it is also ”just” a job.”
“– Now I have done a film with director Alexandra-Therese Keining, ”The average color of the universe”, which cost almost no money at all. It is about a woman who has lost everything and goes through katarsis. We recorded in four days, and made scenes that were pretty mentally taxing. Will be interesting to see what becomes of it.”
“– a few years ago I went in and played doctor Adam Pålsson dying character in the ”never Wipe tears without gloves”. It is an absolutely amazing series and Jonas Gardell is one of the few men that has an ability to write from a female perspective. I don’t want to belittle it, but… it was not a role that was pivotal for my future. I had a one year old baby, was recently divorced and needed the money.”
“Age: 38.nBor: Södermalm in Stockholm.nFamilj: 8-year-old son.nAktuell: ”Beck: Devil’s advocate,” to appear in the TV 4 Sunday 16 december. In the ”LasseMaja and Hamletmysteriet” at the royal dramatic theatre. Is also included in the Lars Rudolfssons ”Hugh and Nancy’s many worlds,” which premieres at the royal dramatic theatre in stockholm 2 march. The movie ”Aniara” has a theatrical release early next year.”
“Jennie Silfverhjelm if…”
“… to film the children and I ”trip into space” against Robert Gustafsson:n– is Based on a book by Christer Fuglesang. I am astronaut, Robert is raketkonstruktör. When it comes to comedy… you notice how many ”flight hours” Robert has under its wings, it is a delight to see how the technical skillad he is there.”
“… his character in the sci-fi drama ”Aniara”:n– Libidel, my role, starts a little bit of a cult, where women are fertilized. There is a befruktningsscen which is almost in the ”Eyes wide shut”-style. It is beautiful, poetic, evocative. I don’t think it was hard to do. I am an actor, my body is available as long as it is relevant why the scene is done in a certain way.”
“… the film ”the Gentlemen”:n– I think very much about the role,” Cart”, and it was fun to be with in such a mastodontproduktion. We filmed in Vilnius. Outside the studio they built a whole block of Hornsgatan, not far from where I live now, just as it looked, intact with the business.”
“… to work with idol, Gösta Ekman:n– He directed me in ”the Artisans” at the royal dramatic theatre. We became good friends. Oh, how I miss him. But in a way, he was hopeless to work with. He played often before, and then felt a little that you might as well go and put on the compost heap, which can’t repeat as good.”
