“Tvåbarnspappa were killed – stopped the terrorist”
“Ramesh Raju, 40 years, stopped one of the suicide bombers in Sri Lanka from entering in a church full of people. He died when the terrorist instead unleashed his bomb outside the building. Now tell his family about tvåbarnspappan which is hailed as a hero in the country.”
“I am so proud that he saved so many lives, and especially so many children,” says his dad Velusami Raju.”
“Inside the Zionkyrkan in Batticaloa in eastern Sri Lanka had around 600 people, many of them children, gathered for prayer. Tvåbarnspappan Ramesh Raju had set up on a voluntary basis to help out during one of the big kyrkodagarna. When he saw an unknown man with two large bags on the way into the church, that he suspicion and stopped him. The men began to argue – then triggered väskmannen its självmordsbomb.”
” When he became suspicious against the bombmannen had he been able to run his way and put himself in safety. But I think he started a fight with him to prevent him from entering the church, ” says his dad, Velusami Raju, to the AFP news agency.”

“Raju and 28 other people, including 14 children, lost their lives in the attack. Rajus younger sister, her husband and their about one and a half year old son also died when the bomb was triggered. The people in the church did.”
