Assenede, With almost 90 kilometres per hour in an accident and end up, twice over the head, with the car on its roof in the canal reach. And in all the chaos flight a dog away from the car – without a trace. It is Andre De Rycke (90), Coralie Impens (80), and their maltese Snoopy from Assenede happen. Barely two days later the happy family and healthy home. “We have more than luck”.
A horrorcrash, one that not many people would be able to tell the tale: it was a Thursday night, on the E34 in Assenede. Andre and Coralie were together with Snoopy on the way home, when she was in collision were with another car.
“be Honest: I would not know what happened in those few seconds,” says Coralie. “Suddenly, we were on our roof in the ditch next to the track. I was lying on the dashboard, all the way pinched.” The emergency services were flocking to the spot, the fire department would have the car open, and the couple free. In the hospital in Eeklo proved how lucky the duo have had: Andre had some bleeding, and a nasty gash on the head, but the duo came for the rest, all good. “We wanted Thursday all to go home,” says Andre. “But that could not of the doctor. On Friday, we wanted to really go back, because we had agreed to eat something with the children. Otherwise we see them so little.”
