In the year compared to the spring of 2018, however, the number of unemployed has gone back. In may 2018, it had been in 80,000 more unemployed. “The demand of companies for new employees weakens appreciably,” said authorities chief Detlef Scheele. “The employment subject to social insurance, however, remains on a growth course.”
