The city of Fontainebleau has announced the cancellation of the Sting concert, scheduled for Sunday June 18 in the Parc du Château de Fontainebleau, “in view of the instability of the current weather situation, the forecasts and the strong stormy episodes announced”. The decision was taken in particular “in order to guarantee the safety of the public, the artists and the teams”, indicates the prefecture of Seine-et-Marne on its website.

The department of Seine-et-Marne is placed on orange alert for thunderstorms, reports La Chaîne Météo*. According to the prefecture of Seine-et-Marne “heavy rain is expected between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.” with a “risk of hail and strong winds, which can locally exceed 100 km / h”. The thunderstorms “look as strong as those of last Sunday, and are likely to cause urban runoff, even some flooding”, also specifies La Chaîne Météo.

In all, 28 departments in France are affected by this orange thunderstorm alert: Aisne, Cher, Corrèze, Creuse, Eure, Eure-et-Loir, Haute-Garonne, Gers , Indre, Loir-et-Cher, Loiret, Lot, Nord, Oise, Pas-de-Calais, Pyrénées-Atlantiques, Hautes-Pyrénées, Paris, Seine-Maritime, Seine-et-Marne, Yvelines, Somme, Tarn-et-Garonne, Essonne, Hauts-de-Seine, Seine-Saint-Denis, Val-de-Marne and Val d’Oise.
