The deputy managing director of Hachette Livre, Fabrice Bakhouche, will leave the group which is to pass in the fall into the bosom of Vivendi, billionaire Vincent Bolloré, the publisher announced on Wednesday. “After 6 years spent within the Hachette Livre group, Fabrice Bakhouche wished to end his functions as Deputy Chief Executive Officer as of September 1 to devote himself to new professional projects”, indicates the group in a press release. His departure will be effective as of September 1. His successor is not known.

Joined Hachette Livre in 2017 as Director of Strategy, Fabrice Bakhouche served as Secretary General and Chief Financial Officer, then was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Hachette Livre group in March 2021. Third largest publisher worldwide, Hachette Livre, which holds houses such as Grasset, Fayard, Stock or Calmann-Lévy in France, is a subsidiary of Lagardère, in the process of being taken over by Vivendi.
