A politileder is Friday in an appeal by the lagmannsretten in Oslo sentenced to 21 years in prison for widespread corruption and to participate in the smuggling of drugs.

It was the same strict result, as the district court in Oslo, came forward to 2017, when for the first time fell judgment in the case against Eric Jensen.

The convicted person will be announced on the spot, that he is the anchor of the judgment to the Høysterett.

the Judgments of the Norwegian lagmannsrett may be appealed to the Høyesterett, but only in the question on sentencing, case management and lovanvendelse. The weighing of evidence and the conviction is finally decided by the lagmannsretten.

the Judge Mette Trovik let Friday understand that she does not believe any of the explanations he has come up with during the trial.

Immediately after the sentence was handed down, he was looked after by plainclothes policemen and led out of the courtroom. It writes the news agency NTB.

Eirik Jensen appealed against in 2017 byrettens judgment to the lagmannsretten, which in January ruled that he should be acquitted of the part of the accusation, who was about to participate in drug smuggling.

the Judges were, however, disagree in nævningenes decision, and it led to, that the trial should go on with the new judges. In the new case he saw Friday convicted – also for the part that is all about drug smuggling.

– You can see completely out of his explanation, when he says that he knew nothing of hashvirksomheden, saith the judge Trovik.

the 62-year-old Eirik Jensen previously worked as the chief of police to combat drug trafficking and banditry.

A leader of a large network of drug traffickers, called hashbaronen, has admitted that he in 20 years, smuggled large quantities of drugs. It was made possible, because Eirik Jensen sent him coded text messages.

Hashbaronen Gjermund Cappelen get the two year discount on the sentence of imprisonment he is serving, for cooperation during the police investigation of the case. He releases the now with 13 years in prison.

Eirik Jensen must during interrogation have come with the changing and conflicting explanations. According to the prosecutor, it has lessened his credibility during the trial.

Jensen has abused the trust that society has given him, and it is very worrying that it could happen, say the socialist president of the Parliament committee on legal affairs, Lene Vågslid.

Eirik Jensen, was released in 2015 a book, where he states that he is innocent and writes that revenge can be a motive for the charges against him.
