Celebrities Penny Marshall, who was the first female director of a film made more than $ 100 million — in the U.S., Monday in Los Angeles died. That made her agent Tuesday local time.

Marshall is primarily known in the English-speaking world, for her role in the series “Laverne & Shirley” in the 1970s. In 1986 she made her directorial debut with ‘Jumpin Jack Flash’, with actress Whoopi Goldberg.
