Now, the Ida lost the fight against cancer
Thousands of swedes have followed the cancer and Ida Boström’s struggle to live.
the Dream was to get to experience one last christmas with the family.
But in the evening came the sad news – she passed away during an operation.
Ida Boström, 39, from Vännes outside of Umeå knew that her cancer was incurable and that she would die.
On Facebook and Instagram she wrote openly and honestly about his fight against the deadly disease.
But also about life, which she loved so much.
just three years ago she did an Ironman triathlon – with a body full of tumors.
a Few months later, I met her for the first time. Then she studied for a doctor at Umeå university.
Despite the fact that she knew that she probably would never take the exam.
When she guided me forward through the university’s corridors, she said: at First, I thought that it is unfair, then I decided to not let the cancer stop me.
And such was she, a real fighter. Who refused to give up.
Ida had two plans – one for life and one for death.
Almost in the end, she followed her plan for life, which she called Plan A.
It was about that – as she herself said ”track” the cancer, in different ways.
And, above all, to try to live life to the fullest.
