The Streaming service, Amazon Prime Video, together with producer Oliver Berben, the movie “We children from train station Zoo” series to the screen. Directed by Philipp Kadelbach (“Our mothers, our fathers”), the filming is set to begin this year, as Amazon announced on Wednesday evening.
The modern retelling is based on the autobiographical memoirs of a drug addict street girl Christiane F. from the year 1978. For TV, it was adapted from author Annette Hess (“Ku’damm 56/59”) and the so-called Writer’s Room. Berben (Constantin Film) had already announced that the book a new filming.
“In 35 countries and in 21 languages translated, tells us that We are not fighting children from Bahnhof Zoo’, the story of six children in a boisterous, uncompromising feeling for life. You are not a victim. You are strong, young, brave and captivating”, says Oliver Berben, producer, and member of the management Board at Constantin Film.
Overall, Amazon reported more than 20 new in-house productions (Prime original), to be implemented in Germany, great Britain, Italy, Spain, India, Mexico, and Japan. “A large part of the new series will not only be in the countries of production, but also for Streaming for a global audience with Prime Video available worldwide,” it said.
among the other projects, the British Thriller series “The Power”, based on Naomi Alderman’s eponymous novel. In Spain, the productions of “La Templanza”, a dramatic love story set in the 1860s in Mexico, Cuba, London and Spain, after the novel by Maria Dueñas, as well as “El Cid”, which is dedicated to the Spanish national hero.
Six productions are planned in India, including the romantic Musical “Bandish Bandits.” From Mexico to come, among other things, the series “El Presidente”, which was inspired by the FIFA corruption scandal 2015. (dpa/Tsp)
