The Journalist and biographer Michael jürg’s received for his life’s work, the Theodor-Wolff-award of the German Newspapers. The 73-Year-old was a “pugnacious and dedicated defender of an independent, progressive journalism,” quoted the Federal Association of German newspaper publishers (BDZV) on Wednesday from the Jury.
He had resigned “with great fundamental contributions to journalism in Germany”. The Journalist, who also writes for this newspaper, was editor-in-chief of the magazines “star” and “pace”, and published a number of biographies, for example, Romy Schneider, Günter Grass, and the publisher Axel Springer.
In addition, the Jury has nominated 14 posts in two categories, as well as for the theme of the year, in the category of “opinion-local” daily mirror author Hannes Soltau for his Essay “In dazed company” about the rising consumption of analgesics, as well as in the category “Reportage locally,” daily mirror editor Maris Hubschmid for their contribution “to the last drop” about a cross-Berger Mr residential home.
