‘Casa Encanto’ is a property of approximately 23,000 square meters located in Calabasas, on the outskirts of Los Angeles and one of the most coveted areas to live among the Hollywood elite. Internationally famous stars choose this location for its charm and proximity to the mountains, as well as for offering numerous entertainment venues.
A long private road leads to the property until you reach a white stone facade in the purest style of a hacienda or traditional country house.
The interior, of about 780 square meters, has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms (notable for having, for example, sinks carved in natural stone), a spacious living room, a designer kitchen, dressing rooms, a living room and a bar, as well as a separate gym.
The central living room stands out, flooded with natural light, with high ceilings and an open layout that leads to the gallery on the upper floor. Several seating areas and a modern marble fireplace provide a casual yet elegant atmosphere.
The interior is connected to the exterior through large doors that lead to the backyard with a porch and pool surrounded by vegetation and with panoramic views of the mountains.
In September 2021, Brittny Button, who is an interior designer, and her team got to work completely redesigning and modernizing this 1980s villa, whilst trying to preserve its original character.
They used cream color on the walls to harmonize with the warmth of the exposed beams and the abundance of natural materials. Special attention was also paid to the interaction between the linear design and the more rounded shapes.
“Our goal was not just to create a home, but a refuge, an oasis of tranquility to get away from the daily routine and busy city life,” explains Brittny Button.
Thus, this house, which is now on the market, has become the shelter of the British pilot and his family in the United States in recent years.
Jenson Button (1980 Somerset, England) became a global phenomenon thanks to his career in motorsport, which began in 1998 in formula racing, before making the leap to the premier category of Formula 1 in 2000. He participated in more than 300 Grand Prix between 2000 and 2017, winning 15 and in 2009 he became the tenth Briton to become Formula 1 World Champion.
In 2016, Button decided to end his active racing career, although he remained linked to the sport as an expert and commentator.
He has been married to British interior designer Brittny Button since 2022. The couple lives and works in California and Monaco, among other places.
