In day jobs only one of the three employees in health and care in the Norwegian municipalities, full-time. There are far too few. Many employees have a weekly battle to secure enough guards, to get a large enough stillingsbrøk that the life goes up.
Notifies the amendment of the international women’s day: More people to get the right to work full-time
Many deltidsstillinger additionally provides less stability for the residents who receive the services. Many who receive the help of health and care services, is in a phase of life where peace of mind and well-known people to relate to, is especially important. It is good to know who’s coming in the door, especially if they are going to provide you with care.
We know also that there are women who work mostly part-time. It applies to those women who earn the least and have the heaviest jobs. Working for several full-time jobs therefore not only about peace of mind and better quality services, but also about a more equal and just society.
Nationally the Labour party, therefore, in close cooperation with the trade union submitted several proposals in Parliament to get more full-time jobs. We want to strengthen the right to full-time in the working environment act, so that it is the employer who must prove their need for the part time position. What we have done in Bergen, where hiring and external temporary workers from the commercial agency now is exchanged with a separate municipal vikartjeneste with all the positions. And in Bodø, where helsefagarbeideren Torgunn Gunnarsen, now finally has been given the full-time position after 20 years on part-time. The reason is that the Labor set in motion a heltidsreform after valgseieren in 2015. And in Trondheim, norway, who through 16 years of rødgrønt control, now is among the best in the country full time.
In 10 years, the number working part-time stood at a standstill. Now will the present coalition to take action
Even though it is made much good in many municipalities, it must still be done much more. Therefore, the promises of the Labour party and the trade union now full-time as our most important common issue in lokalvalgkampen. We are around the all over the country and skolerer elected officials and candidates. So can those who are elected after 9. september, go specifically to the work to offer more full-time jobs and introduce a heltidskultur in their municipalities.
