the European commission has given telecom operator telia to the approval of the telecom operators Bonnier broadcasting was bought for. The company owns the Finnish MTV, Swedish TV4 and pay-tv company C More.

the Commission gives the store some conditions to safeguard competition. The commission’s concern is that the deal could lead to the tv-channel of a reduction or a rise in prices in Finland and Sweden.

When Telia announced in the summer of 2018 the acquisition of Bonnier Broadcasting, it was known, that the transaction will have a detailed review of the EU-commission. Traditionally, the commission has been watching closely equal conditions of competition in mergers and acquisitions.
