The left-wing US Senator Bernie Sanders wants to again run for the presidency. The 77-Year-old announced on Tuesday his application for the top candidate of the U.S. Democrats in the election in the year 2020. In the election campaign that he wanted to focus on the theme of social justice, said Sanders, a radio station in the state of Vermont. His goal was to expel Republican Donald Trump out of the White house.

Sanders criticized the current incumbent, as a “racist, sexist, homophobic and xenophobic”. Trump always try again, “to make political points by turning against minorities,” said Sanders.

Sanders is an independent, agreed to in the Senate, but with Democrats. He designates himself as a democratic socialist. So he has found a considerable following in the democratic party base. His critics accuse him of left-wing populism. The party Establishment of the Democrats, Sanders keeps a distance.

The non-party Senator had already applied for the presidential nomination of the Democrats for the election in 2016, and unexpectedly strong against the front-runner, Hillary Clinton cut off. This was ultimately, after a tough pre-election campaign as a candidate of her party, only to lose out in the election to the Republicans Trump.

The left-wing Senator Sanders was in the then Election campaign as the underdog candidate to be a style icon, especially young voters. Many Democrats have already signalled their interest in the top candidacy for the presidential election – among them a half-dozen women. It is expected to be unusually harsh and long pre-election campaign, until the candidate is in the coming year.

In the forthcoming election campaign will endeavour Sanders expected to return to the left-wing party base. “I’m not one of those sons of multi-millionaires, whose parents have told them that you are the President of the United States,” said Sanders at the end of last year, the “New York magazine”. “I don’t Wake up in the morning with the burning Desire to be President.”
