the VENICE – A sword 5000 years ago, one of the most ancient weapons anatolian civilizations in the world, was discovered – by chance – from a phd student of the University of Ca’ Foscari, Victory Dall’armellina , in the Island monastery of San Lazzaro degli Armeni, Venice. The weapon is kept in the Museum of San Lazzaro; it is a small sword, placed in a showcase with objects from the medieval era. The sword, however, is typologically very similar to some of the weapons date back around five thousand years ago, found inside the Royal Palace of Arslantepe in Eastern Anatolia, considered the most ancient in the world. Also at the museum of Tokat (Turkey) was recognized with a sword of the same type, coming from the region of Sivas, which has substantial similarities with the sample of San Lazzaro.
