PARIS and the whole world to greet Simon Coencas . And’ died at age 93, the last of the “boys” who discovered the cave of Lascaux in 1940. Then he was 13 years old, along with the rest of the band – Marcel Ravidat , Georges Agniel et Jacques Marsal , all between the ages of 15 and 18 years of age – Coencas ventured on the hillside of the Dordogne, overlooking the village of Montignac, with all the intention of finding a treasure. Without even imagine that they would have found one of inestimable value.
