Bad luck, bad luck and more bad luck. An American has several fearful hours older now, after he during a hiking trip in the Zion National Park in Utah with his leg got stuck in quicksand. The rescue operation took two days.
Ryan Osmun (34) was on Saturday along with his girlfriend Jessika McNeill, a hefty trek started, when the afternoon went wrong. Sand changed suddenly in the mud, and for Ryan realized, slumped, his right leg gone. Not mud but quicksand. The thirties came to sit above the knee. And not just fixed. Completely stuck. Impossible to get there on their own to break out. But even with the help of Jessika didn’t. To make matters worse, there was at that place in the national park no gsm range.

Not much later, they found the frightened young woman, that chills occurred. Many hours later was the rangers, Ryan in the quicksand. Exhausted, hypothermic, and injured.
