First, he was beaten up to blood – then his eyes dug out and his tongue cut off.
The infamous cast as a gang leader James ‘Whitey’ Bulger, 89, was a particularly brutal death, when he last year was attacked in the Hazelton prison in West Virginia.
It reveals the Bulgers death certificate that Thursday was published six months after the killing, writes NBC News.
30. October 2018 sat the aging gangster in a wheelchair in prison because of one or more unknown assailants battered him to death.
According to the certificate died Bulger of ‘blunt violence’ in hovedregionen. He had been beaten to a pulp with a slagredskab, which consisted of a lock in a sock. He had also dug his eyes out and cut the tongue part of the with a homemade knife.
He died ’minutes’ after the attack, according to the death certificate.

James ‘Whitey’ Bulger, who had been sentenced to life in prison for 11 killings, only managed to stay in the Hazelton prison a day before he was slain.
the Killing was neither filmed by security cameras or witnessed by the witnesses. His bruised and bloody body was found under a bed sheet, several hours after the killing.
Even though it is six months ago, none of the persons arrested in the case.
Police suspect that the killing was revenge for the James Bulger previously had cooperated with the police and gossiped about other gangsters.
In 2013 was Bulger convicted of a variety of crimes, including the killing, which took place while he stood at the head of the irish mafia in Boston in the 1970s and 1980s.

Prior to the livstidsdommen was Bulger one of the FBI’s most missing persons in the 16 years before he was arrested in Santa Monica, California, in 2011.
Bulger, who is buried at St. Joseph cemetery in Boston, is a model for Jack nicholson’s character Frank Costello in the movie ‘The Departed’.
