Hjulmand was supposed to be a counterpart to Hein Vanhaezebrouck, who was fired as the Anderlecht-coach in december.
– For Hjulmand is not a one-man-show. He surrounds himself with people who think like him, and he is the best coach in Denmark, says Olsen.
I hope that will work out the national team one day, and he will without a doubt find a good club, says Olsen.
Kasper Hjulmand has been the head coach of FC Nordsjælland since 2016, and by then he was nine months as boss in the German Mainz, before he was fired. Previously he has had a further period in FC Nordsjælland and have also been in Lyngby.
Morten Olsen was earlier in the month, on a visit to Anderlecht-training to visit his old friend Frank Arnesen, who has been the sports director at the club. Olsen, however, has denied that he will be the head coach of the club.
