Human values count even in the ever more high-tech automobile world.
This applies, in particular at Volvo, where the three bildesignere Thomas Ingenlath, Robin Page and Maximilian Missoni has reinterpreted the brand with a new and scandinavian design DNA.
If you ask the undersigned, there is no doubt that the XC40 is one of the most iconic of the born-again Volvo models with its angular forms inside as well as outside.
the SUV model, which competes against, among others, BMW X2, the Audi Q2, the Jaguar E-Pace, and the VW Tiguan, however, have missed a small basismotor running on gasoline. It is here now in the ’T3’model, which features a newly developed turbo engine with three cylinders and 156 horsepower.
It is a model, which can be obtained from around 395.000 dollars in grundversionen ‘Base’. Testbilen has, however, a series of enhancements on board, which gets the price to run up in over a half a million dollars. the

the Volvo XC40 is just so genuine and robust, as the angular shapes provides, and behind the wheel has a good view of traffic. The cabin is practical, with large aflæggerum, and from the driver’s seat has a stunning view of a vertical dashboard, which is dominated by a touchscreen of 9.3 inches.
the Car’s infotainment system has been better than in previous models and works fine, but however, it is not always easy to operate. The Finish and quality is in line with the other players in the class, but here seasoned with a scandinavian twist.
You are sitting very regular in the cabin, and there is space to be high in the hat, both for and aft.
the Seats can be adjusted in multiple directions and supports reasonable, but they are not as good as in the new V60 station wagon, which sædekonstruktionen works more ergonomically correct. the

XC40 has found the balance
the Car has a clear clicking gearshift and is letkørt, although the steering is to the comfortable side. Unfortunately it is not possible to buy automatic transmission for this variant, which is a big minus.
The new engine has a torque of 265 Nm, and provide the forces in a flow, which fits well with the medium-sized SUV. A fuel economy at 13.0-14,1 km/l after the new WLTP-norm is to turn right at the bottom.
On the road, the car is quite comfortable. The high center of gravity could be felt in the first model, but it seems now that the shocks have been tuned. It is experienced as if the car has got a better grip and more balance. But it’s also about dækmonteringen.
It is clear that the ’D3’-diesel engine of 150 hp or even the ’D4’-the variant with the 190 hp is a more appropriate choice for those who travel a lot. An increasing number of drivers look at gasoline, and here is the new engine a good choice for a price, which is not too daunting.
Basisudstyret contains, inter alia, full LED headlamps, keyless start and safety equipment such as emergency brake, which works in the dark and in addition pedestrians and cyclists can pick up large animals.
It is reasonable, but you have to pay extra for some equipment that is standard in some competitors. It applies, among other things, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors and Apple CarPlay.

Conclusion
We surrender ourselves to the charming Volvo XC40, which will include praktikalitet and personality in a class with the ever-harder competition.
the starting price is not unreasonable, and the new grundmotor do it well. The price may, however, run up, if the equipment on board, as you would expect in this class. However, there may be changes with the 2020 class.
