3:2 was game 1 in the Playout-Final of the HC Davos. The first of a maximum of seven duels with the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers in which it is determined who will compete in the League qualification against the B-master (Langenthal La Chaux-de-Fonds – Swiss-League-Final Wednesday of the month) starts today, was the expected tough affair and offered little for Gourmet ice-hockey Sports.
Interesting episodes, there was nevertheless. The match-winner two factors: First, for Davos, especially in the first 30 minutes, aggressive, physical game. And from the second third of the Powerplay, basically, was that Davos was more from the fact that many of the sentences were pronounced. There were six power plays for Davos and Rapperswil-Jona. But that was not the whole Story – but more on this later.
If a bigger play than he is
Because in the first third of the HCD dominated the game with a very aggressive style of play, the Lakers had their trouble and led to errors. Striking, as well as smaller, physically anything other than superior Davos at the forefront were, when it came time to drive the enemy “under the skin”.
As Marc Aeschlimann, Center of the third HCD-Formation, and so far, three season goals anything but an offensive danger in the game of the record-breaking Champions: He played more than it would leave his 1.81 m suspect … “In this stage of the season you have to play on the body, use of the team energy and that is my goal,” said Aeschlimann. “We started very well, hit a high Tempo and played with a lot of intensity – Rappi could hardly create anything.”
Aeschlimann, although no goal was awarded after the game to the best of Davos – an unorthodox, but not a bad choice.
Powerplay: the Davos gun
As Davos after half of the game and a Rapperswil-two punch for the 2:1-leadership threatened the game however, suddenly, more and more to slip away, resulted in the Grisons, but not limited to the Powerplay for the decision. At the end of Davos had achieved all three goals with a man more on the ice. However, the numbers game worked only from the middle third, as the HCD was looking for a new Option and found.
The Lakers, however, they were still exactly the same Davos Powerplay-variant, big trouble. Then, when Davos switched to the 1-3-1 Formation, or efficiently applied.

to defend is So difficult, the 1-3-1 is because it offers more shot options than other formations, but is more vulnerable to counter-attacks is: new this variant is not, however, and unusually, most of the Teams use it in different variations again and again.
In the NHL will be warm, especially about the Leader Tampa Bay, like he had perfected the 1-3-1. Previously, San Jose was considered the measure of all things, especially because the Sharks with Erik Karlsson and Brent Burns are two of the world’s best defenders for the tax man-Position and distribute the 1-3-1 on two Powerplay lines – a luxury.

The HCD, the middle striker, the 3 series is not a participated in the Tuesday multi-block key position, the Lakers got a handle on. Often more than players for Abfälscher of the shots from the blue line or as a distributor of the puck for the two players to the left and to the right of it used, was this “middle man” (in each case in the Form of Dario Meyer or Benjamin Baumgartner) but now on a regular basis to Davos shot-to-shot Option, by transferring a track to the rear and to free played.
And so did the from third 2 in the HCD-Powerplay – the “middle man” is always free:

Benjamin Baumgartner is in Position, is immediately served by Enzo Corvi and comes to a satisfactory conclusion. (Video: MySports)
This only looks like a copy of the pictures of just a moment ago: Dario Meyer, of the Lakers-Box unmolested, and benefit of Andres ambühl’s passport for direct acceptance. (Video: MySports)
striking is two things: In Rapperswil-Jona are the multiple insufficient stock work, which will allow the Davos passes for the “middle-man”, as well as the passivity of the Box generally. The Davos game creators Ambühl, Corvi, and Lindgren is granted too much time and space to make their Plays.
At Davos page is in addition to the ability of the two to Protect Meyer and Baumgartner, to sneak free””, the pass quality and the Timing is crucial. Ambühl, Lindgren, and especially Corvi doing an excellent Job with the seemingly simple short passes.
Hächler: “We talked to faced, but …”
One of the on Tuesday, the most in the Lakers-Boxplay used player Cédric Hächler, in the defender Position, he was so regularly with the Davos from half-distance. The problems of his crew also escaped him: “The striker, there is so far to the rear: This was a theme with us during the intermissions and it’s also in the analysis before game 2.” What Hächler annoyed: “We addressed it before then anyway, just as a hit.”
Double-annoying for the Lakers: the Davos game winner at the 3:2:
was creeping in The Davos go in the middle of the Powerplay, the Formation to 1-3-1, Benjamin Baumgartner “” free and recycled Enzo Corvis Pass to the 3:2. (Video: MySports)
The series is only a game old, there is enough time, be able to change the stays on both sides. Whether the Lakers this same Davos Powerplay opportunities to the Park? Game 2 will take place on Thursday in Rapperswil-Jona and will provide the first answers. (Tages-Anzeiger)
