Sentenced to four and a half years in prison by Spanish justice on February 22 for the rape of a young woman on the night of December 30 to 31, 2022 in a nightclub in Barcelona, Dani Alves obtained his conditional release this Wednesday after having paid a deposit of one million euros.
The former Brazilian international (40 years old) can thank the Neymar family. According to La Vanguardia, the “Ney” clan agreed to pay this bail in order to obtain the green light from the Barcelona court for release.

The former Paris SG striker had already helped his compatriot a few weeks ago after the indictment. Neymar’s father confirmed to CNN this helping hand to pay the lawyer’s fees and pay compensation to the victim, to the tune of 150,000 euros.
“The family asked us for help. Daniel had no money to defend himself and the deadline to pay the defense was running out. Think about it, at no time could I refuse help to a friend who is trying to defend himself against an accusation,” the father said a few weeks ago.
