Uruguayan defender of FC Barcelona, Ronald Araujo, injured his left thigh on Thursday and will not be able to play against Cadiz on Sunday during the second day of La Liga. Araujo “has injured his biceps femoris in his left leg,” Barca said in a statement. The club did not specify the duration of his unavailability but the Uruguayan could be out for around a month, according to the Spanish press.
He will miss FC Barcelona’s second La Liga match on Sunday against Cadiz, the first at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium, the Catalans’ temporary enclosure during the Camp Nou renovations. The Blaugrana will also be without coach Xavi Hernandez and Brazilian winger Raphinha, both suspended for this game and the next.
