The Merengue had been picked up on the counter-attack by a headed goal from Sergio Arribas (3rd), trained at Castilla. They equalized thanks to a goal from their English prodigy Jude Bellingham (19th), before the latter offered himself a brace to give the advantage to Madrid in the 60th minute. Vinicius widened the gap in the 72nd minute to put Madrid out of harm’s way.
