José Lima, captain of Portugal, after the victory (24-23) against Fiji on Sunday: “We made history, everyone will remember that it’s us and that’s forever. We know where we come from, this victory is the victory of four years where we know how we struggled. Personally, my ultimate goal was to make it to a World Cup, it was always in the back of my mind. Today we are here, we finish with a draw and a victory, it’s something wonderful but I hope it’s not the end but the beginning, the start of something great.”
