Anastasia Gorbenko won the silver medal in the 400m medley, behind Britain’s Freya Colbert. Interviewed at the edge of the pool like all the medalists after their race since the start of the week, she was whistled while she spoke on the microphone.
She was briefly whistled again, moments later, during the medal ceremony in the Aspire Dome in the Qatari capital. Gorbenko brought Israel its only medal of the entire competition.
