It’s over between Toulouse and Farès Chaïbi. The Algerian is joining Eintracht Frankfurt, the TFC announced on Wednesday in a press release.
“After having discovered the professional world under our colors, Farès is going to take up an exciting challenge in the Bundesliga, under the colors of Frankfurt”, underlines the Toulouse club. The 20-year-old midfielder has signed a contract until 2028 with the German club, but the transfer fee has not been revealed.
Arrived at the Toulouse training center at the age of 16, he signed his first professional contract with the club three years later. Winner of the Coupe de France last April with the TFC, Farès Chaibi had scored eight goals and delivered as many assists in 43 games in all competitions, according to the same source.
The departure of the Algerian international (3 caps) adds to those of Rafael Ratao earlier in the summer and others, including goalkeeper Maxime Dupé, Dutch playmaker Branco van den Boomen, midfielder Dutch fielder Stijn Spierings or Belgian captain Brecht Dejaegere.
