World 100m champion Noah Lyles easily settled his 200m half on Thursday at the World Championships in Athletics in Budapest.

With a time of 19 sec 75, the American achieved the best time of all the competitors.

Batswana Letsile Tebogo, silver medalist in the 100m on Sunday, took second place in his half, all with ease (19.97, no wind), behind the American vice-world champion Kenneth Bednarek (19.96).

Young American Erriyon Knighton (19.98, -0.4 m/s wind), British 100m bronze medalist Zharnel Hughes (20.02) and Canadian Olympic champion Andre de Grasse (20.10) will also compete in the final scheduled for Friday.
