After the overthrow of long-standing heads of state Omar al-Bashir of the Sudan is facing a political upheaval. The head of the new military Council, General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, announced that it plans to remove the existing apparatus of power “with the root”. The leader of the protest movement demanded the establishment of a civil government. The protests in the capital, Khartoum continued on Sunday.
Al-Burhan said in his first televised speech on Saturday, a profound change in view. He will fight the corruption and “the Regime and its symbols with the root remove”. The General ordered the lock to the abolition of the nocturnal output and the release of detained protesters. The person responsible for the death of protesters during the week-long protests would be brought to justice, said al-Burhan.
The military Council announced also the resignation of the intelligence chief, Saleh Ghosch. Ghosch had overseen in the past few months, the brutality of the National Intelligence and security service (Niss) against the protesters in the East African country. Dozens of people were killed, thousands of activists, opposition members and journalists were arrested.

for three decades, the authoritarian head of state, Bashir had been plunged on Thursday after a months-long mass protests from the military. The state television showed images of the meeting at the presidential Palace in Khartoum.
