After the signing of a governance deal between the municipality of Las Gabias and the PP, Ciudadanos will be part of the local government of Las Gabias. This agreement will allow both parties to add their proposals and will provide a tremendous boost to the social and economic development of Las Gabias within the first 100 mandate days.

The three Ciudadanos elected councilors will join the eight from PP to form a cogovernment. Merinda Sadaba will become the mayor, while Jose Antonio Rosales will take over the first mayoralty. Rosales and Sandra Calderon and Julia Olmos will then assume responsibility for the areas of Urbanism and Projects, Sport, Parks and Gardens and Culture, Equality and Tourism. Each party will have a representative in the Transport Consortium, representation in the Collective Negotiation Table (Joint Joint Commission), and the Governing board would consist of three members representing each party.

Rosales stated that Ciudadanos would also promote many proposals from the Las Gabias local government. These include lowering taxes on families and businesses, guaranteeing Early Childhood Education places from 0-3 years old enough, promoting home help services, innovation in telecare and equal opportunities for men and women.

Both formations have made progress on some of their priorities for this mandate as well. These include the improvement in security through the opening of the Hijar Police Headquarters, promotion of pending infrastructures like the bypass to Gabia Grande and the shuttle bus service from the Armilla metro stations, the improvement in health resources by requesting 24-hour emergency services at the municipal hospital, or the improvement in cleaning and maintenance public spaces.
