Despite Russia’s claim that it doesn’t target civilians its forces continue to attack urban areas. This included a residential building located outside of Kiev’s capital where at most one person was killed , and many others were injured Monday. This attack comes just days after Russian missiles struck a Ukrainian military base located less than 15 miles from Poland’s border, causing the deaths of at least 35 people.
McMaster, a former lieutenant general, who served under the Trump administration, stated that he believes Russia will do all it can to stop humanitarian aid from reaching Ukraine or to ship supplies to its military equipment.
McMaster stated Monday that Russia is becoming increasingly desperate. He said this not only in his actions to disrupt supply routes but also in trying to prepare the groundwork for the possible use of chemical weapons.
Russia called last week a U.N. Security Council meeting in order to discuss “the military biologic activities by the U.S. on territory of Ukraine.” The White House denies the claim and denounces it as a “false Flag effort.”
McMaster stated, “This is a sign of weakness.” McMaster stated, “I believe Russia and Putin in particular are in serious trouble.”
McMaster stated that, despite the increasing rhetoric about biological and nuclear weapons in Washington, it is not helpful to talk about a possible World War III.
He said, “It kinda plays into Putin’s hands.” “What he is trying to do, is to threaten an escalated war so that our support for Ukraine will be cut back.”
McMaster also criticized China and stated that the West should take advantage of Russia’s invasion in Ukraine.
McMaster stated that China has been providing cover for Russia’s mass murder of innocent civilians. He also claimed the same narrative about a war not being a real one, calling it a special military operation [and] also supporting false claims of military biolabs in Ukraine.”
He said, “And I believe it’s an incredible moment for the world to shift the balance in favor of free people and away from these authoritarian dictatorships.”
According to a senior advisor to Volodymyr Zelensky, Russian and Ukrainian officials are set to meet Monday to begin a fourth round in talks.
