Ike Gazaryan, the owner of Pushkin Restaurant & Bar, in San Diego, claimed that he was receiving angry voicemails about the Russian invasion. He said that someone had told him they would blow up the restaurant, and that this was going to be payback for Russian actions in Ukraine.
heard from Archy Kagramina (manager at Russian Vodka Room) that someone had been calling the restaurant “just speaking bad words” about Russia’s current events.

According to the United Nations, hundreds of Ukrainian civilians were killed in Russia’s invasion. It began on February 24th. Mykhailo Podolyak , the Ukrainian presidential adviser, tweeted Monday about Russian shells causing damage to 202 schools and 34 hospitals as well as more than 1,500 residential houses.

Russian Samovar is also experiencing difficulties due to the conflict. This well-known, bustling restaurant is located in Midtown Manhattan. Misha von Shats, co-owner, said that customer visits have dropped 60% since the conflict began. He stated to WCBS that “we have nothing to do” with the war, noting that the majority of staff are Ukrainian. “We want to see the war end. “We didn’t invade Ukraine; Putin invaded.”

Von Shats and other Russian restaurant owner have publicly condemned the Russian invasion via social media. The Russian Tea Room also posted on its Facebook Page that the restaurant “renounces Russia’s unprovoked war acts in the strongest terms possible.”

The restaurant stated, “We stand against Putin”
