The recall notice states that the products were shipped from Arizona to California, Nevada, Oregon to Utah, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
The recall notice does not indicate that the affected products are sold outside of the seven states.
Walmart published a 13-page listing of all the locations where the recalled meat was sold on Friday. It included locations in seven states, as well as Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Hawaii and Idaho.
Kroger stated on its website, that the recall applies to ground beef 93% packages of one- and three-pounds sold at Fred Meyer stores.
Albertsons and WinCo Foods didn’t have any additional information about the recall on their websites at 12:30 p.m. ET Friday.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, E.coli can cause bloody diarrhea, dehydration, and cramps for up to four days. This could lead to kidney failure in older adults and children younger than 5 years.
The USDA classified the recall as a Class I recall. This means that there is a risk of serious adverse health effects or even death if the product is used.
Recall of ground beef 2022
