Justin Joseph was J $tash’s real name. He died in Temple City (Calif.) on Saturday. He was 28 years old.

According to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officers received a report of domestic violence at 7:14 AM on New Year’s Day.

Jeanette Gallegos (27), and Joseph were both found dead at the scene by deputies.

Gallegos got into an argument with $tash and led her into the master bedroom where he locked it. The room was where they found their bodies.

According to People, deputies stated that the female victim received multiple gunshot wounds and that the male victim suffered an apparent self-inflicted wound.

“Right now the evidence at the scene, and the preliminary information that we have from the kids in the home are that it was a murder-suicide,” Lt. Derrick Alfred stated to KTLA Jan. 1 about the incident.

They were between 5 and 11 years old, and they were all uninjured. The children were taken away by authorities and placed with their relatives.

According to the Associated Press, one of the children called his grandmother and asked her to dial 911. It’s not known if the call was made after Gallegos’ death or before.

Joseph was with his mom for approximately a year before they died.

Gallegos’ family set up a GoFundMe page in order to help raise funds for her funeral and express their sorrow over the circumstances.

Gallegos’ sister Erika Chavez started the page. She wrote, “With a heavy soul my sister died Jan 1, 2022. My family and nephews suffered a tragic loss. God has given us another angel.

The post continued: “My sister was full life, she was sweetest and most caring person. She was always there for anyone who needed her.” She loved the quote, “Live today because tomorrow is not promised.”

Chavez said that her sister has left behind three wonderful boys, who will have to live life with the things that are left, the memories made with their mommy.”
