There was talk about a frenzy of disappointment as Denmark’s largest festival of the year had to announce that you chose to cancel, after coronavirussen hit Denmark.
Fortunately promised the festival would come back strong in 2021, and it meant also that they could be sold out a whole year before the next Roskilde Festival.
Now, many hopeful participants begin to look forward towards the program, since the festival already has announced 32 names.
People can look forward to Tyler The Creator, FKA Twigs and Thom Yorke as some of the headliners for next year.
Also TLC, which should have played in years, turns the nose towards Denmark in 2021.
The Whitest Boy Alive will also play their only concert in Scandinavia at the Roskilde Festival.
the Head of the program, Anders Wahrén, has spoken out in connection with the announcement:
‘For us, it has been important to invite some of the artists that we think will be significant for a great year. The program of 2021 will not be the same as we would have had, because we can’t copy the full program. Right now there is a pandemic, and racism is on the global agenda. Historically, big agendas, also found their way to the art and, of course, it must also be a part of the program, so that we can bring new, relevant names,’ says.
