A work a reflection of its time

Little house on The prairie tells the story of the daily life of a family of farmers in the Western United States in the Nineteenth century. At this time, the New World is still very rooted in racism. “A good Indian is a Indian death”, can be read in the pages of the book of Laura Ingalls Wilder, born in 1867 and died in 1957. The journalist Samira Ahmed, reported in all these sentences “unacceptable” in 2010 in an article for the Guardian. “The books of Mrs. Wilder are the product of his life, his experiences and perspectives as a white woman of this era, has tried to defend the LCSP. They represent a cultural attitude dominant, without being universal, towards the indigenous and people of colour when she lived and when the award was created.”

It becomes politically correct to speak of “politically correct” to not use the term “dictatorship of thought”.

Many did not understand this. Many also try to reassure themselves of their impulses racist, evading the topic.
