Extra Leaf Cars was invited to Portugal of Hyundai Denmark.

Once Denmark was mikrobilernes stronghold. Danish consumers were wild with the small practical city car, which offered relatively much car for little money. But among other things, tax changes have helped to pull the drivers up in the larger vehicle classes, and it has given minibilerne tailwind.

But mikrobilerne is not dead and gone, and indeed you can still get quite a lot of car for the money in the A-segment.

Hyundai will with a new version of their mikrobil i10 lure buyers and prove that the class has merits. The weather is unstable, so one could for a moment believe that the test is being conducted in Denmark weather conditions. It does not, however, the Hyundai presents the new mikrobil in and around Lisbon in Portugal.

The new i10 comes in three different equipment variants, and even in the base version, there is much to be gained. I10 comes standard with an emergency brake, which itself can recognize pedestrians, an active vognbaneassistent, træthedsovervågning, highbeam assist and cruise control.

is also eCall, where the car itself can call emergency services if an accident occurs. The system tells when, where the vehicle is located, even if the passengers are not able to explain it or know where they are.

Hyundai also offers the i10 with Blue Link, which is the brand’s opkoblingssystem, there is always online via a SIM card. With Blue Link, to get access to the current traffic situation in the area, the weather and the car’s current fuel quantity. You can also lock the car and unlock it directly from a smartphone.

If you will not have the five manual gearbox, as the car usually is equipped with, the model can be obtained with a newly developed selvskiftende manual gearbox. It sounds a little nerdy, but this is due to there not is an ordinary automatic gearbox.

it is a manual gearbox which is automated, which means that a robot takes over the switching function.

You must not change itself, for it makes the car for one, but the system feels sluggish and weird to run with. The shifts are not quite soft, and sitting and waiting for that next gear is ready, why it only makes sense to opt in, if you can’t operate a clutch.
