“the More people advance in civilization, the more the state of the wave of the passions increases ; because it happens something very sad. The multitude of books which deal with man and his feelings, make it skilled without experience. It is keyed without having enjoyed them ; he still desires, and no more illusions. The imagination is rich, abundant and wonderful, the existence of poor, dry and disillusioned. You live, with a full heart, a world empty and without having spent nothing, one is disabused of all.” If, in 1802, in the Genius of christianity, François-René de Chateaubriand spoke – of course! – not the life of office, his diagnosis applies very well, however, some of our colleagues the most jaded. Those who never show the slightest enthusiasm, and the last of which smile back to the victory of the Blue, in 1998.

Who is the disillusioned? Very often a colleague rather mature age, is an employee of the same company for some time already… Too long, perhaps… The time, precisely, was because of the enthusiasm, desires and illusions that had led to(e) to “sign” for this adventure professional: the disillusioned now knows all the inner workings of his company, its hypocrisies, its games of dupes, his dialogues of the deaf, everything that makes the salt of some careers… The disenchanted no longer wants to pretend. He did not want to change her daily life: what for? In a meeting, he acquiesces in permanence, no objection to anything. He let them do so. In the corridors, he drags the not. He sighs a lot too.

unwillingly, the disillusioned may have a detrimental effect on his colleagues and undermine morale. It may also happen that his to-what-bonisme turns to the grotesque and causes a slight amusement. There is no age to be disabused: it can be very young and very quickly if the gap between the desires, which had been promised “on paper” and reality is abysmal… In the film The Winner, Benjamin Braddock – graduate – is disillusioned with the idea of joining the active life. There is a fun technique to measure the disillusionment criticism of a colleague: if, at the beginning of the month of July, you want to spend a good holiday and if he replies to you: “I would have preferred to leave in August” or “Bah, anyway, I’m going to have a rotten time”, you’re dealing with a very nice specimen. But he is not wrong: at least, at the office, it is almost certain that don’t get rained on.

When we see land of the geniuses who will revolutionize the business, with methods that you glue in the tabs every 5 years with a big money, and we know their period of management 2 or 3 years……If they are “good”.

When one knows what one knows, that one has seen what one has seen, one is entitled to think what we think.
