OTTAWA – A shootout erupted in the centre of Ottawa. On the ground there would be one dead and several injured, three of whom were taken away by paramedics in serious condition.
To announce that the danger has been the local police on their Twitter account: “We are responding to a shooting in the block 400 of Gilmour Street. Have been reported several injured. During a coordinated response. Please avoid the area. Further details will follow”. Agents were called to the scene shortly before 7: 30 in the morning local.

Shortly after an agent on the spot would have said to the tv channel Cbc that “it’s all over,” adding that this is not a situation with an active shooter,’ that is, with an assailant still active.
Gilmour Street is a residential area with some offices. It is not clear if the shooting occurred in a home or an office. It seems to have fired a single person.
