TV since her early childhood is Maisie Williams on the set of the wildly popular HBO series ‘Game of Thrones’. For eight years played the role of Arya Stark, currently one of the most important characters in the show. Now the series this year comes to an end, she looks hopeful, but with a fearful heart to the future.
Arya is one of the leading figures of the ‘Game of Thrones’story, and it is not unlikely that they will soon be on the coveted Iron throne yourself. “I’m almost all my life, Arya has been,” says Williams wondered. “I was not even a teenager when I started. Even though I’m already 22, I still feel like a child, because I was so well treated on the set. The end of the series, that feels like graduating from school! Like I was finally an adult should be. And that is both fantastic as a very, very, very stressful.”
How did you feel when you first heard that the series should stop?
It is very bittersweet, it really feels like grieving. There is still a sense of security associated with it for so long to play in a successful series like ‘Game of Thrones’, knowing that you were there year after year to return. And now it is intimidating, all that time that we need to fill with other projects. Re-work search! I will also include my character, Arya, is very miss. And, of course, the people who took part in the program, of all friendships. My co-actress Sophie (Turner, ed.) is now truly my best friend. Ultimately, I’m on the set grew up, I learned a lot – not to say everything – learned.
If you used to himself to ‘Game of Thrones’ look back to your parents? You were still very young and there is a lot of blood, sex and violence.
(laughs) Yes, my parents have no taboo around. I got all what I wanted to be, especially the series in which I myself played a part.
How was it to grow up on the set? To your childhood in a manner of speaking in a visbokaal?
We were happy that We had of each other, Sophie and me. She plays the role of Sansa Stark, my fictitious sister, so we were often together on the same set. We had each other’s support really need to, because it is strange to you puberty in the spotlight. That is a period in your life where you don’t want people to even look at you, and we had a constant camera on our nose! When we get a pimple we thought that a disaster. (laughs) But also for the show itself, we had ourselves ugly, and that made for stress.
what Do you mean?
In the beginning of the show did Arya as if she was a boy. To keep my chest bound with tape, to make them flatter. That went on for one and a half season, and then you started alsog to see that I breasts. So to solve this problem they gave me not only the tape, but also a thick belly to get everything to balance, so I did a bit more on a boy seemed to be. That was nice… I was 15 and I thought: I just want a boyfriend! (laughs) And this way I never fall in a love.
